My First Mother's Day...

Happy Mother's Day to my mom, sister, and my mother-in-law!  Also, a very Happy Mother's Day to all of my beautiful friends out there that are mommies, and who I am so lucky to have in my life!  You are all a source of inspiration for me as I begin my journey as Marley's momma!

We've had a busy week at our house...Marley is now rolling over both ways, from back to tummy and from tummy to back, and she has started laughing!!  I got home from work on Friday and she broke out in her first bout of giggles as she was watching/trying to get Sasha!  She LOVES her puppy so much, that it was fitting Sasha would be the first one to make her laugh!  We caught it on video and I'll upload it one of these days!

Marley had her 4 month check up and shots on Thursday.  She is a healthy baby and is meeting or exceeding all of the milestone dates they have set for 4 month old babies!  Such a strong little girl!  The doctor said to expect teeth by 6 months as he can feel little teeth buds close to the surface of her gums on the bottom front!  How cute!  Hopefully this won't make breast-feeding challenging or painful!  Her official stats from the doctor visit were:  15lbs 6oz, 26in long!  She's tall!

On Friday, Trav left for Chicago to go to a friends wedding.  Marley and I had dinner with Angie and then headed to Faribault bright and early Saturday morning.  We went shopping with my mom at Carter's and bought Marley way too much...hard to resist those cute baby girl clothes!!  Then, we made fajitas at Nama and Papa's house, gave Marley a bath, and called it a night!  It was great to see my momma and spend a day with her!

Marley is napping as we speak, and we are waiting for daddy to get home from Chicago so we can celebrate Mother's Day at home with our little family!  And then it's on to another week of work!  Hope you are all enjoying the day and giving hugs/kisses to the women who gave you life!!

XOXO-
Stevie and Marley

  1. Yay for a healthy, growing, thriving girl :) And no worries on the new teeth and breastfeeding. We can talk details on tips on how to avoid little bites next time we're together!
